About

Thanks so much for visiting Halfway Wholeistic! I’m really glad you’re here 🙂

My name is Katie Staples and I was born and raised in southern California, where I still live today with my husband Jordan and son Weston. I taught second grade for nine years before becoming a full-time designer and content creator here at Halfway Wholeistic. I love my job and enjoy design, style, and photography as a hobby and second career! I view blogging as a creative outlet that allows me to inspire and be inspired by all the talented people in the world.

My journey toward Halfway Wholeistic began in 2016. It was during this time that I had come to the end of my rope in a battle with chronic pain and various other health issues. It wasn’t until I had exhausted all possibilities with doctors, test results, and the strongest medications, that I became determined to cure myself. Through much research and reading, I experienced the power of natural remedies and have found health and wellness by living a holistic lifestyle.

Halfway Wholeistic was originally created to share my story of living a mostly holistic lifestyle that is simple and accessible. Beyond health and food, the concept of finding a middle ground and living a well-balanced life is applicable in so many ways. This includes design, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. This blog will showcase all of these areas in order to promote embracing the beautiful things in life without an extreme mindset or cost. After all, life is beautiful and best lived when it is Halfway Wholeistic!
