It was just yesterday that I was walking through the mall in search of a few Christmas gifts. After making my rounds at Nordstrom and Sephora, I stopped by the Christmas tree that stood at the center of the shopping center. Santa was there of course, dressed in his garb with a wide-eyed little boy on his knee. The photographers were shaking bells and the parents were making noises I’m certain they would’ve never imagined making in public prior to this moment. I saw the little boy whisper his wishes into Santa’s ear, and I found myself beaming at the scene. Such a classic, innocent picture of joy and hope that truly never gets old.
I think if I were to whisper my wishes into Santa’s ear, we might be there a while. I mean, there are just so many things on my list, and they’re all fighting to be at the top of it! And seriously, do you notice that the more you go out and shop for others, the more you notice things you want for yourself?! yikes. It’s during those time that I stop and remind myself that I have all I could ever need. For me, Christmas is about the ultimate gift, the birth of our savior! It is by his gift of life and salvation that we all give and receive gifts during the Christmas season. In light of this time of giving, I have created my ultimate grown-up Christmas list for all of you ladies! These are a few of my favorite things from this past year. Hope you love them too!
