A Minimalist’s Guide to Holiday Shelf Decor

No need to re-invent the wheel here. It only takes a few simple changes to update your shelves for the upcoming holiday! Swapping out my succulents for more festive greenery, and adding a few holiday decor items proved to be all I needed to update our shelves for Christmas. Here are a few rules to follow if you’re looking to take a more minimalist approach to shelf styling this year.

  1. Keep your basic items the same! Most of my decor (books, boxes, baskets, bowls, pottery, candles, frames, and artwork) stayed put!
  2. Add fresh (or faux) holiday greenery.
  3. Mix in a few holiday themed decor items. Find my favorites here, here, and here!
