Reflecting On 2018 + Our 2019 Project List

Last January I created a list of all the projects I wanted to complete in 2018. The purpose was to outline all of the things I wanted to get done around the house and complete them in an organized way. Today I’m reviewing that list and seeing how we did! Then I’m also sharing the projects we have planned for 2019. Can’t wait to get started and share all the inspo with you!

2018 Project List: What We Planned For Last Year

I’m pretty sure 4/7 is a failing grade, but I’m considering this year a major success! I’m so thankful for all the updates we were able to make in our house this year. Each one has made it feel more like home. And the fact that we didn’t finish every project just means we have a few projects we get to tackle this year and I’m really looking forward to it. Here’s a closer look at the projects we finished last year and what we have planned for 2019.

1. Added Living Room Furniture

I finally feel like our living room is finished. Well, I’d love to add this coffee table but that won’t be happening any time soon 🙂 Anyways, it’s finished for the most part and feel much more complete not that we’ve added the new rug and seating area.

2. Kitchen Renovation

Whew! Our kitchen renovation was quite the project! I worked really hard to save up for a few kitchen updates last year and I feel like it definitely paid off. This was truly a budget kitchen renovation that proves you don’t need to completely gut your kitchen in order to make a big impact.

3. Guest Bedroom Makeover

Previously, our guest bedroom housed a 35 year old bed that I painted white and a few other random pieces. Now it is completely furnished and feels so bright and clean!

4. Finish Master Bedroom (In Progress)

This year we added a new fan and artwork to our master bedroom, so we’re halfway there! I just got in our new bedding and will be adding a rug and permanent decor pieces soon… so stay tuned!

June – Office Makeover

This will the last room in our home that needs to be furnished! I would love to have a designated space to go and work… and also a future playroom/homework room for the kiddos!

July + August – Update Interior Doors & Hardware

Our doors need a fresh coat of paint and could use new hinges. The paint is peeling on the door frames and hinges so it would be nice to freshen things up a bit.
