Holiday Pillow Roundup and Styling Tips

One of my favorite ways to freshen up our home for the new season is to incorporate holiday throw pillows. Many of us probably assume Christmas pillows mean pretty plaids or graphic covers with catchy Christmas phrases on them, but those definitely aren’t the only options!

I’m taking a more modern approach to my Christmas decor this year by incorporating rich colors and texture to capture the warm and cozy feel of the holiday season. I purchase this faux fur pillow (in tobacco) and textured geo square pillow that have added gorgeous contrast to our living room.

Today I’m featuring my modern approach to Christmas pillow styling and also linking a more traditional option as well! Which style do you like best?

*Note: All of my pillows covers are 20″ with this 22″ insert.

Three Pillow Styling Tips:

1. Work with a mix of pattern and striped pillow covers. An easy rule to follow is to combine a solid, stripe, and pattern cover.

2. Alternate between small groupings of two and three.

3. Blend all the pillows together by choosing covers that ‘mirror’ a color of another pillow in the room.
