My Goal For 2018

2018 is here and eeeeveryone’s got their mind set on a new plan, goal, or resolution. There’s just something about the New Year that inspires us to reflect and change for the better. I for one think that’s a really great thing! To be honest I didn’t really sit and brainstorm about what my New Year goal should be, it’s something Jordan and I have talked about over the past year and I’m excited to put it into action!

There are tons of things that I would like to better myself at. Being a better listener and devoting myself to a longer quiet time are just two of the many! But, setting aside all the personal goals, there is one thing that kept coming to mind throughout 2017.

Here’s the deal. One of the reasons I love running a blog is because I get to share all my favorite finds and keep you informed of all of my favorite products! This year, though, I want to throw a few more projects into the mix along with my favorite products. Incorporating both products and projects, however, is going to take a bit of planning! So, here’s how I’m mapping out the next year for my blog with one simple goal:

Prioritize projects. Plan for purchases. Practice discipline in order to achieve my goals.

I’m going to work really hard to minimize my spontaneous purchases so I can focus on the projects and products that are at the top of my list! And in case you are curious… here is my projects list for 2018! I am really excited to get started on these and can’t wait to take you along with me! *Dates and project order is subject to change. 😉

January & February – Add Living Room Furniture

Hoping to add a few more furniture pieces to finish off our main living spaces!

March & April – New Kitchen Countertops, Sink, and Faucet

I already have the products picked out, now it’s just time to put the plan into action! Cannot wait to get started on this one!

May – Front Porch Makeover

Got a few tricks up my sleeve for this project. It will require just a few minor changes that will make a big difference!

June & July – Master Bathroom Update

People often message me asking to see our other bathrooms. Trust me. There’s a reason you do not see our master bath! One day you will, though, and I can’t wait for the before and afters on this one.

August – Guest Bedroom

I guess you could say I’ve decorated our guest rooms… but I haven’t REALLY decorated them. You know, with a mood board and design plan. The whole shebang.

September – Finish Master Bedroom

I would really like to add some finishing touches to our bedroom. This project will most likely include artwork, pillows, and a chair.

October & November – Door Frames and Doors

All of our door frames have peeling paint and could use a bit of a face-lift. This is one of those projects that isn’t really fun to do, but it will feel really good once it’s done!

And there you have it. If half of these projects get completed in 2018, I’ll consider that a success! It’s important to make a plan, but it’s also important to be flexible and make decisions as they come.

Now that I’ve shared my goals for 2018, what are yours?! Leave a comment below or on my Instagram and tell me about your plan for the new year! Don’t forget to subscribe to stay up to date on all of these upcoming projects.
