Last month I revealed our new family room design. I still can’t believe how much this space has transformed in such a short amount of time! We added new floors, paint, and furniture and are loving the new setup. It’s been so nice to have this space fully functional and properly furnished especially since we’ve been home so much with our new little one.

I’d have to say the most popular piece of furniture was by far our Joybird leather chairs! You all seem to love them just as much as we do! When I was sourcing furniture for our family room I knew I wanted big, comfy leather chairs that would provide a perfect blend of style and comfort. These chairs did not disappoint! 1. Leather is Durable

Unlike upholstery, leather is durable and only gets better with wear! Not to mention it can be wiped down and is easy to clean. I love that I don’t have to worry about them getting too dirty!

2.  Leather Adds Neutral Warmth

It’s no secret that I’m all about the neutrals. I don’t even really like to add ‘pops of color’ like most people do! For this reason, I like to incorporate contrast by adding wood tones, black, greenery, and LEATHER! Leather is such a great way to bring life into a space. Its warm tone adds just the right amount of color while blending in perfectly to a neutral color pallet.

3. Leather is Timeless

Have you ever purchased an expensive or large piece of furniture that quickly became outdated? Or maybe you had a sudden realization that the piece you once loved was now practically repulsive! I know I’ve done this, and have had to host one too many garage sales because of it! haha. Leather is truly a timeless and classic fabric that you’ll love for years to come.
