Transitional Fireplace Decor: Fall To Christmas

The other day I took a poll about whether you wanted to see fall or Christmas fireplace decor. I must say… I was definitely expecting you to say fall but the results were just about equal. Being that I’d hate to disappoint any of you I decided to do BOTH! 😉

Whether you’re the kind that likes to decorate for Christmas early or you insist on waiting until after Thanksgiving, hopefully this post will give you a little inspiration! The inspo I’m sharing today can help inspire your spaces included fireplaces, mantels, console tables, dressers, and shelves. The design of my mantel can really be applied to any long flat surface, so if you don’t have a fireplace it is still applicable to you!

You may remember I purchased this wood mirror the other day. I am using it on the dresser in our master bedroom, but purchased it with the intention of styling it on our fireplace when we take the TV down! Since I know you’re all very interested, here’s a little info on our TV amount.

We purchased our TV amount on Amazon. Jordan mounted it into the brick with concrete screws. The TV simply hooks onto the mount which is why it can be taken on and off super easily. Then if I ever want to style it for pictures or parties I simple lean the mirror over the mount! As for the wires, they were already running into the mantel before we moved in so we didn’t have to deal with hiding the wires. They run from the TV, through the mantel, and into the cabinetry where our cable box is. I can’t speak to how that was done because we didn’t actually do that part! Now, on to the deigns!

Fall

I opted for a simple design for the fall fireplace (shocking, I know). Relying on natural elements like greenery, white pumpkins, and birch logs makes seasonal styling simple, affordable, and fun! Eucalyptus can be used all year long which is why it’s one of my favorites types of greenery. I also use the birch logs year round as well, so it’s money well spent!

Since we are nearing the end of October, you may have holiday decor on the brain. Decorating for the seasons is pretty simple if you set a good, neutral foundation. In today’s post you’ll see how I swap out a few items to create a different look for both fall and Christmas!

Christmas

I purchased a few new items this year like the charcoal Christmas trees (I have small and medium) and these Amazon stocking holders. I have a few sets of stockings (these cream knit ones and these from Hackner Home) so I’ll feature all of them and you can let me know which you like best 🙂 Use code KATIESTRIBE15 for 15% off anything from Hackner Home!

In a few weeks I plan to put a Christmas tree up in this room. I’m hoping to anyway! We spend so much of our time in here so I’d like to make it work if possible. The plan is to move one of our leather chairs to the garage for the holidays and stick it in the left corner. We’ll see how it goes!
