Our New Dresser

Jordan and I are having one of those ‘why did we wait so long?’ moments right about now. We’ve needed a dresser in our guest bedroom for so long. This is where Jordan keeps his clothes, actually, because there isn’t enough room in our master bedroom for both our wardrobes. That darn closet is just too small for the both of us 😉

Buying a dresser is sort of a big deal. It’s such a large piece in a small bedroom, so it’s important to pick the right one! Since we already have two white dressers and the guest room is pretty neutral, I decided to add in a wooden dresser to warm up the space. It was a tough choice, but I ultimately went with this one and love the way it turned out! If you’re looking for a dresser right now be sure to check out my roundup here. There are tons to choose from!

I styled the dresser with a few things I had around the house. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when decorating your dresser!

Start With A Focal Point

Use a large piece of art of a mirror as a focal point in the center of the dresser

Add Height on Both Sides

I opted for a lamp and large vase here! This helps to define the space on top of the dresser and make it a focal point in the room.

Use Decorative Accents

Adding the right decorative accents helps blend furniture with the rest of the room. Use this as your opportunity to play off the other colors, tones, and textures in the room!

Hope this is helpful! Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out my dresser roundup if you’re on the hunt for one!
