Small Closet Makeover

I’ve been meaning to tidy up our closet for almost a year now. I simply couldn’t let the one year anniversary of our office renovation pass without tackling it, and I’m happy to report it is finally finished! There’s just something about an organizational project that makes me feel so accomplished. It’s truly like a breath of fresh air knowing everything is neat and tidy, even when it’s behind closed doors!

I started this project a little over a week ago when I purchased some organizational essentials from Lowe’s. I saw these natural fabric bins on their site and knew they would be perfect for our space! I love the look of them, and the size is just right. They’re simple and chic, but also very roomy. I was surprised how much I could fit inside each one! I also grabbed this framed linen fabric pin board to display important mail, quotes, and inspirational images.

Four Steps to Tidy Up Your Space

Take everything out of the closet or cabinet you’re working on.
Sort through each item and decide to keep, toss, or donate.
Organize in to groups of like items.
Place back into the closet, giving each grouping a designated location.

I followed these simple steps and our office closet is looking so much better, don’t you think? In total, I think this project only took me about an hour. Time well spent I would say! Here’s a look at the before and after of this mini closet makeover…
