Our Backyard Patio Details – Halfway Wholeistic

We renovated our backyard a few years ago by adding a new stucco wall, wood pergola, concrete patio, and fresh landscaping! It’s so nice to be able to enjoy this space all year long thanks to the California sunshine that seems to linger no matter what season it is 🙂 Here are some details about our backyard, as well as furniture links for you!

Stucco Wall

The wall is made out of cinder blocks and covered in white stucco.

Pergola

We had our patio made from douglas fir wood that our contractor stained with Minwax natural wood stain.

Landscaping

While I’m unsure of the exact names for each plant, we used a variety of grasses and succulents since they thrive in warm climates without too much water. We also planted 5 olive trees and have an old oak tree that’s been here for many years!

Furniture

Our sofa and rug are from Outer. Everything is completely waterproof because the cushions have a lining under the top layer that protects the cushion! The sofa also has built in covers that roll out to protect the furniture when it rains. We’ve had it for quite a while now and it holds up VERY well!
