It all started when I decided I wanted to put two sofas in our living room in order to cozy up the space a bit. Of course that snowballed into a total room refresh… you know the drill. I’m convinced it’s my calling to write a spinoff of the popular children’s book “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” with a new edition titled “If You Give a Girl a Throw Pillow”. Funny how a small change can spiral into something much bigger than intended, isn’t it? 😉 But I love refreshing spaces to give you guys new ideas, so I’m excited to showcase these gorgeous and affordable pieces in our new living area!

I recently added the World Market sofa to our living room and absolutely LOVE it. The quality is amazing for the price. Most people ask if feathers fall out and if the cushions hold their shape. So far we haven’t had any feathers flying around and the cushions are just as fluffy as ever! We don’t use this sofa a ton because we spend most our time in the family room. However, I will say that the price point is well worth the hassle of picking up a few feathers here and there and flipping the cushions once a week! Highly recommend 🙂
After the sofa came the big rug debate! You may have seen in my Instagram stories the other day that I was trying to choose between a higher end Pottery Barn rug and a more affordable Amazon option. Turns out I decided to go with another rug altogether! haha. I’ve officially decided on the Loloi Teagan Rug in Ivory/Sand! It is the exact look and color I was going for and the price is really good in my opinion. And trust me, I think I’ve looked at just about every rug on the market! I’ll also be adding a few new accent pieces like artwork, throw pillows, and these Amazon curtains I found. Should all come together within the next few weeks! 🙂
