Over the past few years I’ve learned so much about living a healthy lifestyle. Growing up playing sports, I’ve always been a pretty healthy and active person, but more recently I’ve become aware of other ways to maintain good health. If you’ve been following along with my blog you may know I cured my chronic stomach pain and acne by eliminating gluten, dairy, and caffeine from my diet. Reducing foods that cause inflammation has also helped my arthritis pain, which I’m really thankful for. When Weston was born, I started doing even more research to ensure I was providing a safe and healthy environment for our family. One of the things that kept popping up in my searches was ‘toxicity’. There are various materials in our environment, like certain plastics and metals, that we should try to avoid or reduce so that we can have the best opportunity to enjoy optimum health.
Removing all toxins from your life can seem a little overwhelming, so I decided to start small. One of the main areas I decided to tackle was our cookware and food storage. Since nonstick pans and plastic Tupperware may contain potentially toxic materials, they were the first to go!
While on the hunt for new cookware, Our Place reached out and asked if I’d like to try their products. They’re made from recycled glass and natural sand, keeping them free from any artificial dyes.
