Here are some recent updates I made in our family room! Just in time for lots of family time by the Christmas tree 🙂 This room has always been a bit of a challenge from a layout perspective. It’s pretty small, connects directly to our dining room, and also has large sliding doors and a fireplace as the focal point! So there are a lot of factors to consider when placing furniture.
I recently added these new accent chairs and ottomans and love the way they fill the space! It feels comfortable yet stylish and has the perfect amount of seating. The chairs are so gorgeous and comfortable too!
Three Tips for Finding Your Perfect Furniture Layout
1. Search your favorite design inspiration catalogue and look for similar room designs to yours. Take note of the furniture placement and see if that could work in your space. Mix and match various inspiration images if you need to!
2. Use other furniture pieces from around your home to test out layouts before purchasing items. While it may not be 100% accurate as far as scale, it will give you an idea of what the room will look like!
3. Try, try, try again! Test out various layouts before settling on one. Sometimes we have a tendency to stick with what we know, but pushing yourself outside you comfort zone may lead to a great new look you love!
