How to Pair Area Rugs + A New Rug Reveal in Our Bedroom

Picking out rugs for your home can be a bit overwhelming, am I right?! Thereā€™s a lot to consider when you’re purchasing a rug including the size, material, pattern, color, and price. A little while ago, I wrote a blog post with a few tips on selecting the perfect rug for your space. You can check that out here! I also rounded up some of my favorite rugs from Boutique Rugs on that post.

Boutique Rugs is my go-to shop for rugs. They have such a stunning collection for every style, all at an affordable price, especially when you use their 65% off code (BF65)! We have quite a few Boutique Rugs in our home and they are such wonderful products. The color, quality, and durability are so great!

Most recently, I added the Horsley Area Rug to my growing collection of Boutique Rugs. I opted for this one because I already have quite a few vintage-look rugs throughout our home, so I wanted something that would complement those rugs while providing a new and different look! Honestly, I am sort of freaking out about how much I LOVE this rug! The pattern and color are absolute perfection. Not to mention itā€™s super soft too! Would be perfect for just about any room in your home!

Speaking of complementary rugs, I wanted to share my tip for pairing rugs today. One of the most important things to consider when picking out a rug is how it flows with the other rugs in your house. For example, we have three rugs in the open concept portion of our home, so itā€™s important they all work together to create a cohesive look in our space. Here is my fool-proof tip for choosing rugs for your home!

Rug Pairing Tip:

Select a mix of plain, patterned, and geometric rugs with colors that blend and complement each other.

Plain: Think solid and woven rugs

Patterned: Think mosaic, floral, and vintage-look

Geometric: Think: striped, geometric, cross weave, and plaid

Here are some of my favorite rug pairings from Boutique Rugs!

Let me know if you try out any of the rugs. Can’t wait to see which one you choose!
