Holiday Dining Essentials

There’s nothing quite like gathering around the dinner table during the holidays. Some of my most cherished memories have taken place at the dining table! Not only is the food delicious, but the company and conversation are so special too. My personal favorite is Christmas brunch! Our go-to meal on Christmas morning is homemade cinnamon rolls, egg casserole, and fresh fruit. I look forward to this meal all year long!

One way to make mealtime extra special during the holidays is to set a festive tablescape. Spending a little extra time setting the table will help create the perfect backdrop for your holiday memories to be made. Today, I’m teaming up with The White Company to give you some tips on styling your holiday tables! I’ve also rounded up some of my favorite pieces from The White Company that you can use on your tables during the holidays and throughout the year! That’s the thing I love the most about The White Company, all of their products are gorgeous and classic, which means you will use them for years to come!

Styling Tips:

1. Add Layers

Building layers on your table will create contrast and interest. I started with a runner, and added different sized cups, plates, flatware, and linens to create a simple layered look that draws your eye in. The detail on the Milford glassware collection from The White Company are so stunning! I love the subtle texture they add. I also can’t recommend the Portobello Collection enough! We’ve had this dinnerware set for quite some time, and I still love it just as much as the day we got it. The Portobello Collection is a perfect blend of modern and classic, and I especially love the organic edge!

2. Incorporate Seasonal Elements and Candles

Using festive accents like seasonal fruit and greenery will help your table take on the look and feel of the season. Pair the natural elements with candles and tealights to set the mood! I used the Ribbed Mercury candle holder on our table. They’re so gorgeous and add another beautiful color and texture to the table!

3. Use Cloth Napkins

Cloth napkins will make your holiday dining experience feel polished and put together. I went with the Checked Fray Edge Napkins from The White Company. The pattern is perfect for the holidays!

4. Present Food Professionally

Serving food on pretty serveware will take your tablescape to the next level! The White Company has so many gorgeous options. My personal favorite is the Portobello Serveware Collection! I use the Low Serving Bowl all year long as a centerpiece on our dining table.

5. Display Flatware at Each Place Setting

Instead of having guests get their food buffet style, set each place setting with everything they’ll need! This promotes togetherness and good conversation since everyone can remain seated at the table and eat at the same time. The Symons flatware collection from The White Company is stunning!

I hope your holiday season is off to a great start. Can’t wait to see your gorgeous tables! Be sure to tag me and The White Company on Instagram so we can see your stunning creations!
