How to Style Your Home After the Holidays

Do you ever feel like your home is a bit bare after Christmas? There are so many added items during the holidays from Christmas trees to garlands and wreaths. All that added greenery and decor makes your home feel festive and warm during Christmas-time, which is why taking it all down has a very dramatic impact on the look and feel of the home!

Here are a few ways I overcome the post-Christmas empty feeling and make our home look put together again!

1. Incorporate Greenery

Whether fresh or faux, greenery ties your room together making it feel cohesive and put together.

2. Shop Your Home or Invest in a Few New Accents

You’d be amazed what you can do just by shopping your home! Try swapping decorative items from room to room to give them new life. If things still feel a bit bare consider investing in a few new accents you love!

3. Replace Your Christmas Tree

Don’t just take down your Christmas tree, replace it! I leave our faux olive tree out all year long except during the holidays. It fills the space where our Christmas tree was and adds warmth and height to the room!

4. Focus on Textiles

Layering pillows and throws will help make your home feel comfy and cozy again. I have a base of neutral pillows I use year-round, and typically buy a new pillow cover or two each season to make the space feel fresh!

5. Update Your Picture Frames

Those pretty family photos you had taken for Christmas cards… frame them! Display them on a shelf or small wall. I also like to update the artwork in my small frames. Highly recommend Collection Prints 😉 We have a new set of 12 launching this month so stay tuned!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying a fresh start to a new year.
