Get the Look

This week I challenged myself to create a designer look for less using affordable bedding, and I love how it turned out! Bedding can be pretty expensive, so I was hoping to create a look that would be accessible for all budgets.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for investing in quality linens! Two of my all-time favorite bedding pieces are my Pottery Barn quilt and linen duvet. They’re such amazing quality and timeless enough to last a lifetime! I firmly believe high-end pieces can make a difference in the look and feel of a space, but there’s also a way to capture a designer aesthetic using affordable products.
When it comes to designing a bedroom, layering is the most important thing to focus on. Incorporating a variety of tones, textures, and patterns gives the space interest and depth. When I’m styling a bed, I lay a foundation with the sheets and complete the look with a quilt, duvet, throw blanket, and pillows!
Another important thing to consider when creating a bedroom design is WHERE to splurge and where to save. It’s probably in your best interest to splurge on sheets and duvet and save on the rest! I’m going to link our higher end sheets and duvet below since they are featured in the images, but I’ve also included affordable ones in the roundup as well!
Here’s what I used to create this affordable bedding look:
Upholstered Platform Bed
Cashmere Blend Quilt
Throw Blanket
Linen Blend Euro Sham
Striped Pillow Cover
Green Linen Throw Pillow
Bold Textured Throw Pillow
