Since we have an upholstered sofa and accent chairs in our family room already, I opted for a wood accent chair to break things up a bit. I love the way this chair looks so simple and sleek against out built ins! Since we don’t really ever sit in this spot, comfortability wasn’t key in my selection. It’s comfy enough for conversation or a little relaxation time, but I probably wouldn’t want to cuddle up for a movie in it! I mean, it is a solid wood chair after all. I’ll take the couch! haha.
We’d also love to add an upholstered ottoman to this space, which is another reason I went with a wood chair. I like to keep a good mix of wood and upholstered pieces in each room! Don’t you think a large, square upholstered ottoman would be the perfect spot to prop your feet up here? I’m still on the hunt for the perfect one so I’ll keep you posted!
