Our 2022 Project List

Every year I make a project list for our house. It’s so helpful to have a plan and map out what projects we want to tackle! Prioritizing our to-do list and creating a roadmap for success always leaves me feeling motivated and inspired to make our house a home we love.

Jordan and I sat down and reviewed some of the projects we want to accomplish this year. Our main discussion was centered around how long we plan to live in this home. At this point, we are planning to move within the next five years, so we’re keeping our projects somewhat simple. We want to focus on updates that will improve our home, without investing too much. While we brought them to the table, larger projects like a full kitchen and backyard remodel are put on hold for now since we don’t plan to live here TOO much longer.

With all that said, this is all a tentative plan. I’ve learned to hold on loosly to my plans because Lord knows life has a way of throwing curve balls at us 🙂 And that’s okay! If all goes according to OUR plan, here is what we’ve settled on for our 2022 project list:

1. Interior Paint Refresh, Doors, and Trim

Our interior doors and trim are in desperate need of an update. The door casings are in ROUGH condition! This is first on our list and we know it will make such a difference.

2. Exterior Landscaping, Fencing, and Walkways

Like our interior doors, our exterior gates and fences are in need of an update. We’re planning to do new walkways, fences, and landscaping in our front and back yards!

3. Jordan’s Office Space

Jordan works in the playroom closet. We have bifold doors and it actually works out really nice because we can hide the double monitor and cord situation going on there. We are planning to give it a little facelift with some new paint, decor, lighting, and furniture.

4. Family Room Refresh

Our sofa has seen better days, so that’s on the list for the refresh! I also want to customize this space a little more by adding some faux wood beams. Since we spend a lot of time here I want to make it even cozier than it already is!

I will continue to update you on the Elmwood Lake House renovation. I have lots of reveals planned starting THIS MONTH… so stay tuned!

7. Collection Prints Product Launches

We have some new products and art lines launching this year over at Collection Prints. We’re working endlessly behind the scenes to provide our customers with a wide selection of products that fit their needs. Can’t wait to share what we have planned!

8. Seasonal Styling & Furniture Features

As always, I will plan to feature seasonal designs that will inspire your spaces. Looking forward to creating lots of helpful content for you! Thank you so much for being here!
