Three Tips for Decorating Your House After the Holidays

Decorating after the holidays can be a bit confusing, right? All the festive decor is gone, but it’s still winter. So where does that leave us? Here are a few tips for making your home feel comfy cozy even after the holiday magic has been put away.

Take Time to Reset

Give yourself a few weeks to put things away and organize your home for the new year. I usually spend a few days taking down the decor, and then another few days going through all our closets and cupboards to get things organized. I purge what we don’t need and organize the rest. Nothing like a fresh start!

Incorporate New Foliage

I like to pull out my olive trees and fresh eucalyptus this time of year. You could keep your winter greens out for a while if you like them, but something about the olive and eucalyptus just makes everything feel fresh.

Update Your Accents

Grab a new art print, a few throw pillows, and maybe even a few decorative objects to make your space feel new again. It doesn’t take much to make your home feel like it’s back on track after all that extra holiday decor is down.
