Today I’m breaking down the hardware selections from Elmwood Lake House! I’m not surprised there were so many questions rolling in about these gorgeous doorknobs and cabinet pulls… they’re pretty great if I do say so myself 😉
All of our hardware is from Emtek! Emtek is my go-to for all things hardware because they have a wide catalog of styles available in various finishes, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.
For the lake house, I stuck with brass and black for the entire home. I knew I wanted the ‘vintage brass’ look for the kitchen and a sleek black for the doors, and Emtek had exactly what I needed!
Many designers use unlaquered brass as it gains a gorgeous patina over time. I love that look and wanted to replicate a vintage brass without using unlaquered brass, and Emtek has the PERFECT finish for that!
I used their ‘french antique’ brass for the kitchen which is a gorgeous soft brass. Less shiny and bright than a polished brass would be. Isn’t it stunning?! Highly recommend the french antique if you want to achieve this designer look.
