Do you ever wonder how to select pillows for your home? Selecting patterns and sizes that will work for your space can feel complicated, right?!
I teamed up with One Affirmation to share the throw pillows we used in our lake house. They have THE prettiest pillow selection. All of the fabric is gorgeous and the quality is amazing too.
So, if you have trouble mixing and matching pillows or knowing what size to use, I’ve got you. Here’s a simple guide you can use for reference!
Pillow Pairing:
Work in small groups of 2-5. Pair 1 plain, one stripe/geometric/plaid, and one pattern (like a floral print).
Sizing:
20-24″ pillows are common for sofas and beds. It just depends how big your furniture is and how much of a statement you want to make. It all comes down to personal preference and how you want them to look!
Inserts:
Many times designers will size up one for pillow inserts to make them extra full and fluffy. For example, If you have a 20″ cover you would use a 22″ insert.
