Every August I start to crave that warm and cozy feeling of fall. It’s not that the weather necessarily feels like autumn, but more that I want our home to reflect the warmth of the upcoming season. So, it’s around this time I start prepping our home for fall!

If you’re not ready for pumpkins and fall leaves just yet, not to worry. There are a lot of transitional fall decor ideas to start laying a good foundation for the traditional fall decor. Here are four ideas to get you started!
Wood Tones – Bringing in wood tones through furniture and decorative accents will start to make your home feel like fall. This natural element is a great way to bring warmth to a space! This beautiful coffee table is from Joss & Main and I think the warm wood is the perfect addition to our family room. I also added a few wood accents like this bowl and ball sculptures. You know what they say… it’s all in the details!

Cozy Textiles – Swap out your throw blankets and pillows for ones with warmer hues and rich textures or patterns. Joss & Main has such a gorgeous selection! Currently crushing on this pillow pairing in the image below.

Mood Lighting – Using lamps instead of overhead lighting is a great way to make a house feel comfy and cozy. I grabbed the Quigley and Penton lamp from Joss & Main. They make a gorgeous statement for tabletops or nightstands!

Artwork – Seasonal artwork is always a good idea! This gorgeous landscape print from Joss & Main is the perfect addition to our console table. I chose a 13×17″ brass frame since I love incorporating gold tones in our home for fall!
