We all feel a little lost after the holidays, don’t we? haha. Riding that emotional high from the fall festivities to holiday cheer can make things feel a little sad and empty when it’s all said and done. The lights, music, family gatherings, and parties have a way of making the day-to-day feel so full of life. It’s certainly the most wonderful time of the year if you ask me!

If you’ve taken down your Christmas decor and are looking for some guidance on what to do next with your home, here are five tips for decorating after the holidays!
5 Tips For Decorating After the Holidays:
1. Purge, Organize, & Clean
First and foremost, take your time disassembling Christmas. There’s no need to rush! Slowly take down your decor and invest some time into purging, organizing, and cleaning. Do this BEFORE you try and redecorate! It will start to set the stage for new designs to take place in your home. A clean home = a clear mind!

2. Replace Holiday Greens With Fresh Foliage
Replace Christmas trees, garlands, and wreaths with other greens like ferns, eucalyptus, and olive.

3. Replicate the Glow
Missing the glow of the Christmas tree? Maintain that mood lighting with floor lamps, table lamps, candles, and wax warmers. I’m loving my wax warmer and even put a mini lamp in our guest bathroom and it makes it feel so peaceful at night!

4. Incorporate Cozy Textiles
Cozy up your home with textiles like throw blankets and pillows.

5. Invest in New Decor
Purchase a few new decor items to make your home feel refreshed and lively again. Coffee table books, decorative objects, bowls, baskets, and vases are a good place to start.

I’ll keep this transitional winter decor up through February and then start to transition to spring 🙂 Hope this was helpful! Have a great day, friends!
