Every year we create a project list for our home. This year, we decided to give our backyard and kitchen a refresh! We chose to do the backyard first so that we can enjoy it for spring and summer. The backyard needed some updating in three main areas: the landscape, fence, and patio.

The Landscape
I kept the landscape consistent with the front yard since I love to maintain continuity throughout the home 🙂 We started by having everything cleared out and replaced with little ollies, coastal rosemary, lavender, and mulch. Our landscaper also trimmed the oak tree which made a huge impact on the overall look and feel of the yard!

The Fence
The chain-link fence at the top of our yard had seen better days. We hired Irvine Fence to install a new 5-foot vinyl fence and love how it turned out!

The Patio
While I love a wood-stained patio, ours was very weathered and in need of a refresh. I had it painted and Swiss coffee at 75%. It feels so bright and clean now!
