Baby Staples’ Nursery Design

Our sweet baby boy is arriving soon. I can hardly believe it! I’ve dreamed of designing a nursery for as long as I can remember. The thought of bringing our baby home to a calm, serene space is so exciting to me!  When I found out we were pregnant I immediately drew up the design for the room. While I wanted to get started right away, I knew I needed to be patient. We are having three baby showers so I have been holding off on purchasing much of anything until at least two of the three have been had! Since our second shower is just two weeks away it’s time to finalize the design and prepare for purchasing. I am seriously so excited it’s finally time! Eee!

We are due May 2nd and I just know the rest of my third trimester is going to fly by. I’m planning on completing the nursery during March and early April so that we’re ready by the time baby Staples decides to join us. I will be off work all of April so I’ll be able to use that time to organize and finalize all the details in the room. Did someone say Marie Kondo? Yeah. That will be me the whole month, going crazy with the organization! haha.

  1. I really love option #1! Have fun bringing which ever design together, as the journey is so much fun!! Look forward to seeing the reveal. Cheers!

  2. Love the glider from 1 and the pillows from 2. Love the lamp from 2 but I feel when the baby starts crawling, he’ll knock that over. Crib from 1, rug from 2. Basket is ADORABLE!

  3. I vote for #2 but with the upholstered rocker/ottoman from design #1. You’ll be in that chair a lot, and as lovely as the wood rocker is, I don’t think it will be as comfortable for you. I’m also thinking you might prefer the soft light in the tripod floor lamp as opposed to the direct light from the task lamp. Both are really sweet designs, so excited for you guys. It will be wonderful, whatever you chose. Xx

  4. Cute! I love them both but design 1 is especially awesome. Congrats mama & thanks for the inspo!

  5. Both designs are just gorgeous! My two cents – when I was designing my daughters nursery, I was also choosing between two rockers very similar to the ones you picked! I went with the high backed, fully upholstered glider and I’m seriously still thanking my past self for it! When it was 4 AM and I’d been up twice already that night, I was so glad I could at least rest my head on the back. I practically lived on that thing for the first few months, and still cuddle up in it when the munchkin wakes me up before sunrise!

  6. Hi Katie! I vote for #2 overall but I like the chair, ottoman and lamp in #1. The chair and ottoman in #1 will be more comfortable for a nursing mama. You will be spending a lot of time there!

  7. They are both beautiful but I like 1 the best! That chair/glider looks so comfy! You are due around the same time I was with my first – he ended up coming on April 29th—-14 years ago this April! His name starts with a W as well- William. Anxious to see what your little W is!!! One thing’s for sure, you will make lots of sweet memories in this cute nursery!

  8. They are both beautiful!! I prefer option 1 as well though! My baby boy is 6 weeks and the vibe u have us similar to what I did. I’m now trying to find a round side table next to my glider which I think is very needed! Any ideas you have would be helpful 😬 Very exciting time with baby W coming!!!

  9. I think number two but I love the chair from number one so much!! Honestly, anything you do will look good

  10. I am loving Design #2! The room & colors seem to flow so well together & it seems like it would be such a calming space for your precious baby boy! No matter how you do it, it will be gorgeous & perfect! Congrats mama!!

  11. I really like both of them, but I like #1 the best. Trust me, you are going to want that comfy swivel-rocker and footstool!!! So excited for you and your family. What a joyous time! 💙🧸🎈⚾️

  12. My only suggestion is get the most comportable rocker/recliner possible. You will LIVE in it for awhile! It makes those long nights a little easier.

  13. I think this is the hardest decision I have made all week! 🤣 They are both beautiful! I kind of love the crib in design 1 just a bit more ☺️ I would vote for #1. It’s going to be beautiful either way though of course!

  14. Like both but I like a mix. White crib, white dresser and def the soft rocker. I babysit my grandson twice a week. Used it when he was tiny and now he is 1 we read lots of books in it. He likes to get in it with me. Needs to be comfy 💕best of luck on this exciting time of your life

  15. I love number two but with the chair from number one :). I have four kids (3 boys) and I have that chair. It was such a lifesaver, trust me, you will be spending a lot of time sitting there! I pray the remainder of your pregnancy and birth are blessed. Enjoy this beautiful season, children are such a wonderful gift.
