Our Baby Shower

I’m so excited to share our baby shower with all of you today! Jordan and I thought it would be fun to celebrate together, so we decided to have a couples shower. It was so much fun to be able to share this special moment together with all our closest family and friends at The Nursery by Southwinds. Many of the guys admitted it was their first time attending a baby shower, but even they seemed to have a good time! 🙂

My mom threw the shower for us. She is one talented party planner, let me tell ya! She captured my dream shower so perfectly with all of the neutral décor and whimsical feel. The Nursery by Southwinds in Irvine, CA provided an absolutely perfect backdrop for our special event. Prior to the shower I went to check out the venue and fell in love immediately. They have three stunning locations on site that can host weddings, showers, birthdays, and any other party you can think of! I was deciding between their grassy area or a patio area with a gorgeous water feature, but ultimately went with the grassy area because I loved the soft look of the olive trees and foliage. So happy I did because it turned out just gorgeous! I would highly recommend The Nursery By Southwinds to anyone looking for a venue. It has everything you need and more to host the event of your dreams, and the staff is so wonderful to work with as well!

Shannan Leigh Photography captured our event at The Nursery By Southwinds so beautifully. There were so many pretty places to take photos so we snuck in some maternity shots before the shower. I’m grateful we will have these photos to look back on and show our baby one day! I truly couldn’t be more impressed with how talented and delightful Shannan is. Can’t wait for her to shoot our newborn photos next!

The shower started at 11AM so we opted to serve a casual lunch of sandwiches, salads, fruit, and chips which we had catered. Petite finger foods just weren’t going to cut it since guys were joining this party! We also had quite the dessert bar. I highly recommend the glute free cookies and lemon bars from Rutabegorz if you live locally. They’re so delicious!

Our baby shower turned out so perfectly. The gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food, and even better company couldn’t have provided a more special day to celebrate out little one. Jordan I will cherish this memory forever! Now we can’t wait to meet our little one. Could be any day now! 🙂
