Front Porch Reveal

Our front porch has gotten a little facelift! 🙂 We had our exterior painting last week, and I was finally able to do some styling to finish off the space. We’re so happy with how it turned out! The white brick feels so much brighter and provides the perfect blank canvas for all of the decor to shine.

Here are some before and afters as well as the details, product links, and future plans for our exterior!

Before and Afters:

Paint & Stain Color:

House and Trim Color: Whisper White

Sheen: Flat

(See this post for more details on our paint color and my white paint guide)

Wood Accents: Douglas Fir with 1 Coat Pickling White. 2 Coats Raw Umber

(See this post for more details on the door)

Plants:

I purchased our plants and post locally at Armstrong’s Nursery. The large is a coastal rosemary, the medium is a dwarf olive, and the small one by the door is lavender. I went with these because I like the soft green color, and they can also withstand the warm California sun!

Front Door:

Highly recommend! You can check out this post for all the details and picture of our door, and here are the specific order details:

– Door: 1 Single Exterior Fir 4 Lite Over Raised Panel from Doortodoor.com in size 36″X80″

– Glass: Clear – Single lite with grids (which means the lites are not truly divided)

The Stain Details

– 1 coat Old Masters Gel Stain in Pickling White

– 2 coats Chroma Chem Satin in Raw Umber (the painted said he got this at Vista Paint)

– 2 coats Deft Water Based Polyurethane Sealer in Clear Satin (one coat of sealer was applied after each coat of the Raw Umber stain)

Future Plans:

Our exterior has come a long way, and we’re excited to continue updating it this year! In addition to the paint and new front door, we would love to update the concrete walkway, planters, and landscaping. We’re planning on taking the concrete out to add a clean, straight pathway that’s a bit more squared off. I would also love to add address numbers between the porch light and mailbox.

Hope you love it as much as we do! I’ll be sure to share more details as we continue to update things this spring. Have a great day, friends!
