This summer, Jordan and I purchased a lake house in Lake Arrowhead, CA. In case you missed it, you can check out my lake house highlight or follow @elmwood_lake_house on Instagram!
We’ve started the renovation and it’s coming along slowly but surely 🙂 Demo, plumbing, and electrical are complete. They’re currently working on the bathrooms and interior doors! I also found another kitchen cabinet maker, so the kitchen design is coming along! He says he should be able to have all of the cabinets built by the end of November. More on that soon! I’ll most likely head up there again next week so you can follow along in stories for more updates.
The ‘Before’:
Today I’m sharing the design for the downstairs bedroom. I teamed up with The Company Store for all of the cabin bed and bath essentials. We’ve used their products for years and they’re such great quality! I’ve included all the links for you.

Renovation Details:
For this space, we’ll be adding new doors, paint, trim, flooring, and windows. We were going to remove the half wall that borders the room, but the foundation of the house actually comes through the wall so we weren’t able to do that. Such a bummer! Hopefully we will b able to work some magic and make it look good regardless. I’m going to remove the wood and just have it drywalled.
