I included a family room refresh on our 2022 project list this year with the intention of making it a little more on-trend, comfortable, and cohesive. We started phase 1 this week by adding some new sofas! Everything else you see here are things we already had (but note I’ll need a larger rug now that we have two sofas), so it goes to show simple updates can have a powerful impact!
Our family room is pretty small, so I was happy we were able to fit two sofas in here. I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it’s working great, and is so nice to be able to spread out a little when we’re hanging here at night!
We’re all LOVING the sofas. They’re really great quality, comfortable, and at a mid-range price point! The color is a pretty slate gray and doesn’t pull blue or purple at all. Online they look ivory, so just know this is the true color! 🙂
This summer we will continue our family room refresh with a fireplace makeover, new cabinet doors, and a fresh coat of paint. I was originally planning on doing the small wood beams in here, but decided to put those in our other living room since it’s a bigger space and could use a little update too! I think the wood beams would make this room feel too cluttered since we already have the fireplace and shelving in here.
