New Project Announcement: Interior Doors, Trim, & Paint!

Every year I make a project list with a set of goals I’d like to accomplish in our home. This helps me stay organized and on track when it comes to making our house feel like ours! Otherwise, the list of projects can seem a bit overwhelming, am I right?! This way, I have a clear list of what I know we are going to accomplish and I make a plan and budget for doing so.

So far, we’ve tackled our exterior landscape, walkway, and gate update! And today, we’re moving on to our interior doors, paint, and baseboards! This project has been long awaited and I’m so excited to see it all completed within the next week!

Our current doors and casings are very damaged… so much so that any painter or contractor I asked to paint them recommended we install new ones altogether. The cost of repair simply wasn’t worth it! So, after a few months of waiting on shipping delays, the doors are finally here and ready for install!

The Doors & Paint

I went with 2-panel shaker doors which my contractor ordered from Ganahl Lumber. I decided to BE BOLD and paint the doors and trim a contrast color… Sherwin Williams Jogging Path! This is the same color we have on the paneling in our primary bath (seen below) and I love it. I think it will be a really pretty neutral that will add some charm, character, and contrast to our home. Our walls and baseboards will be painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove at 75%. The image above is a good example of the look I’m going for!

The Hardware:

For the hardware, I’ll be using Emtek of course! Here is the exact order I placed directly through the sales rep:

Emtek Modern Side Plate with Round Knob in Matte Black – 9″ Privacy and Deadbolt Sets, 7″ Passage Sets, 7″ Privacy Sets.

Stay tuned on Instagram stories for daily updates, and I’ll be sure to share progress on the final reveal here too!
