Baby Staples’ Nursery Reveal

Baby Staples is due today! Eee! Can’t believe he could literally arrive any day now. His nursery is pretty much finished (just want to get a floor pouf and blackout blinds) so I thought I would share it with you today in honor of his due date! We went to the doctor yesterday and I’m not showing any signs of labor, so we will continue to wait patiently and enjoy our last moments as a family of two. Dinner date is on the agenda for tonight! J

I create a design board for the nursery months ago and I’m so happy with how it all came together. Mixing neutral tones and textures is always my go-to design vibe, so that’s exactly what I did here! I opted for lots of natural wood textures and creamy tones helped to create this minimalistic, neutral look.

Many of you have asked about my thoughts on the glider. For me, it’s the perfect blend of comfortability and style! I personally think it’s very comfy and would highly recommend it. While I’m sure you could purchase another one that’s geared more towards comfort, maybe has a reclining feature or higher head rest, this one is just perfect for us! Like I said I think it is super comfortable but doesn’t sacrifice style which is also what I’m going for.

Other than adding furniture, we transformed this space by adding new COREtec floors in the color Calypso Oak and painting the room in Sherwin Williams Pure White. Well… my mother-in-law painted for us and I couldn’t be more grateful for that! If I never have to paint another day in my life I’d be more than okay with that! haha. We also removed the closet doors and are going to leave them off for now until we can install custom ones down the road. I actually like it open because it’s super easy to access everything! The bench is also the perfect storage bench for a kid’s room because it has soft close hardware and can hold all our extra baby gear and toys.

We cannot wait for our sweet son to arrive and fill this room with so much love and laughter. My prayer for him is that he would know how loved he truly is. God has given us this special gift and I can only hope and pray he grows to know and love Jesus and love others with all his heart. This is the life verse I chose for him and can’t wait to pray it over him each night when we lay him down in his cozy crib 🙂
