Our chairs are here! Since they are built custom by Joybird we waited a few weeks for the beauties to arrive… but I must say they were worth the wait!
For your reference, here’s a look at where we started with our family room a few months ago. I didn’t really create a thoughtful design for this space when Jordan and I moved into our home. I bought a sectional from West Elm when we first got married without a real plan in place for the space. Goes to show how important it is to have a plan before making purchases! The room always felt dark and small because of the awkward floor transition and the way the sofa cut the room in half. After fours years of living here I was so excited to finally give this room a facelift! We added a new sofa from Article, flooring from COREtec, installed drapes, and added a few new accessories to this space and it feels brand new. Such a difference from the original layout!
I wanted to share a bit more about the chairs today since they’re the latest addition to the room! When I was designing our family room I wanted it to be a true blend of comfort and style. We spend most of our time here so comfort is definitely key! I also wanted to be sure and select a fabric that would be durable and easy to clean. These modern leather chairs from Joybird fulfilled all those requirements and more!
The oversized design makes these chairs so comfortable and functional. Needless to say we have loved sitting in them each night. The cognac leather offers a gorgeous contrast to all the white in this space and also plays off the colors in the rug! I’m so impressed with the quality of Joybird’s furniture and take comfort in knowing they will last us a while!
