A Review of 2019 and the Project List for 2020

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, then you know I’m all about planning when it comes to designing your home. Mood boards and inspiration images often set the stage for my creative projects. In the same way, each year I like to set a few house goals that we want to accomplish. The main reason I like to set these goals is because it helps keep me focused. Tackling home projects and renovations can be overwhelming at times. The projects take a lot of time, effort, and money, so setting realistic goals based on your dreams and budget is super helpful!

It’s always fun to look back on the previous year’s post to see what we accomplished! I’d consider last year a success with the installation of our new COREtec floors (in Calypso Oak), kitchen renovation, home office project, nursery design, family room makeover, and back patio refresh. All in addition to having our first baby! I’m not going to lie, completing an office renovation with a three month old wasn’t my brightest idea haha. And did I mention the floors got installed just a few days before I went into labor? Regardless, it’s been so nice to have those projects behind us! We’re really enjoying each space and the comfort and character they add to our home.

Since it’s officially the new year, that means it’s time for a new inspiration board and project list! Today I’m sharing my mood board and project list for 2020. Can’t wait to get started and bring you along every step of the way!

2019 Project Review:

Kitchen Remodel

Family Room Update

Nursery Reveal

Flooring Installation

Office Renovation

Back Patio Refresh

Preset Launch

2020 Project List:

Front Porch Makeover

We are planning on painting the exterior brick and updating the front door. I’m currently working on this project and going back and forth between replacing the front door altogether or adding new glass for a more budget friendly option!

Living Room Redesign

The living room was one of the first rooms I styled about three years ago. I’ve learned so much since then and would love to restyle it to make it a little more cozy and welcoming! Can’t wait for this one!

Master and Guest Bathroom Renovations

Remember when I showed our master bathroom in our stories not too long ago? lol. You guys just about died laughing at how short the countertops and shower head are. We are planning to update our bathrooms in some fashion this year. Because the house and plumbing are so old, we’ve run into a few costly challenges. Hoping we can find solutions to these and give both rooms a face lift!

Art Collection Launch

We are currently working on putting together a collection of art prints for you! I’ve already sourced the artwork and cannot wait to share these beautiful pieces with you!

What projects do you have planned this year?

  1. Sounds wonderful!
New door! Spend the money on what you love rather than putting a bandaid on the old door. You will be so much happier!
    Go for it!!!
